Arc, a young man looking completely drained from carriage sickness, trudges through the royal capital.

Today is the entrance exam for the Magic Academy. In a world where a person’s strength is entirely dictated by their magical school, Arc is completely “style-less.” And yet, he remains fiercely optimistic and determined to pass.

After nearly throwing up in front of a street stall, he receives some words of encouragement from the friendly shopkeeper. But just as he turns to head toward the exam venue, he stumbles upon a shocking scene, another examinee has been scorched to a crisp.

The objective of the exam is simple: “Defeat the other examinees.” The match had clearly already been decided, yet the opposing student launches a merciless follow-up attack.

As the badly burned student cries out in agony and the terrified townsfolk flee, even the shopkeeper gives up all hope. But Arc readies his magic and steps into the fray.

The enemy’s style is renowned as one of the strongest in the world, whereas Arc has no style at all. Naturally, he is completely outmatched and is gradually pushed to the brink,

But in the fleeting moment before defeat, three teachings echo within Arc’s mind, heralding the beginning of a brand-new tale!

馬車酔いでゲッソリしながら王都を歩く青年：アルク。
今日は魔法学園の入学試験。魔法の流派で強さが決まる世界で〝流派がない〟アルクは、しかし前向きに合格を目指す。
出店の前で吐きそうになり、知り合った店主に励まされ、再び試験に向かおうとしたその時ーー1人の受験生が丸焦げになっている場面に遭遇する。

試験課題は〝他の受験生を倒す〟こと。勝敗は決したーーが、敵の受験生はさらなる追撃を繰り出して。
丸焦げで泣き叫ぶ受験生、見捨てて逃げる町人。店主すら匙をなげる中、魔法を構えてアルクは戦闘を開始する。

敵の流派は世界最強の一角、対するアルクに流派はなし。当然敵うわけもなく、徐々に追い詰められてしまうがーー
敗北の刹那、アルクの脳裏に三つの教えが響く時、新たな物語が始まりを告げる。
